Job Description:

•Supervise G & A department in accordance with Salem’s policies and procedures.  Aid in office environment oversight and management.

•Responsible for monthly financial close, maintenance of the general ledger and reconciliation of accounts and analysis.

•Responsible for issuing monthly financial statements. Work with executive management to issue, analyze and interpret financial results.

•Oversee monthly forecasts issued to executive management and explain all variances from budget. Monitor actual results against budget and forecast.

•Review accounts payable, payroll, cash receipts, credit and collections, trade, accounts receivable and billing activity.

•Ensures all financial deadlines and due dates are met in a timely manner. Includes but is not limited to monthly financial close, budget and forecast submissions, vendor payments, and employee obligations (paychecks, terminations and expense reports).

•Act as a liaison between the market and the corporate office regarding business issues involving financial, personnel and legal issues.

•Responsible for financial functions of radio stations. Informs executive management of risk and exposure issues. Works with other departments to effectively carry out instructions of executive management. Also performs cost analysis as needed or requested by executive management.
